Dr. Yashavanth brings world-class Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and therapeutic gastroenterology to Nagarbhavi, Bangalore. Combining high-resolution imaging with minimally invasive techniques, we provide precise diagnosis and advanced treatment for complex gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and biliary conditions. Experience specialist-led care designed for faster recovery and superior clinical outcomes.
EUS is used to assess pancreatic and biliary diseases, tumors, lymph nodes, gallbladder disorders, GI varices, and chronic abdominal pain. Early and accurate evaluation with EUS helps guide optimal treatment decisions and avoid unnecessary surgery.
EUS is recommended when conventional imaging is inconclusive or when tissue diagnosis and targeted therapy are required. Early consultation with a specialist ensures accurate diagnosis and timely intervention.
EUS provides high diagnostic accuracy, allows real-time guided biopsy and drainage, and offers minimally invasive therapeutic options. It reduces surgical risk, shortens recovery time, and improves overall patient outcomes.
If you require advanced diagnostic evaluation or minimally invasive treatment using EUS, book an appointment with Dr. Yashavanth H S for expert assessment and care. Early EUS-guided intervention ensures accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and improved outcomes.

A standard endoscopy only allows a doctor to see the inner lining of your digestive tract. An Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) uses a specialized scope with an ultrasound probe at the tip. This allows Dr. Yashavanth to see "through" the walls to examine nearby organs like the pancreas, liver, and gallbladder with extreme precision.
No, the procedure is not painful. It is performed under conscious sedation, meaning you will be in a relaxed, sleep-like state and will not feel discomfort. Most patients in our Nagarbhavi clinic are ready to go home within two hours of the procedure.
While CT and MRI scans provide a "birds-eye view," EUS provides a high-resolution, close-up image. It is often the gold standard for detecting small tumors (less than 2cm) or stones that other scans might miss. It also allows for a Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsy during the same session if a suspicious area is found.
You will typically need to fast (no food or water) for 6 to 8 hours before the procedure to ensure your stomach is empty. If you are taking blood thinners or have diabetes, please inform us during your consultation so we can provide specific medication adjustments.
Dr. Yashavanth will discuss the visual findings of the ultrasound with you immediately after you wake up from sedation. If a biopsy (FNA/FNB) was performed, those results typically take 3 to 5 working days as they require analysis by a pathologist.
